My life has been full of “firsts”
I am the first of my mother’s 4 children and the first of my grandmother’s 10 children. I am a first generation college graduate. I conquered another first and became the first in my family to earn a master’s degree. I was a full time student studying, reading, writing, and going to class while I was a wife, mom, minister, and entrepreneur. At first, being in a rigid academic environment was intimidating because it had been 25 years since my undergraduate work. But, when I got in my groove my confidence grew and I knew I could finish the course.
Hurdles come with being the first. At times things seem impossible. When I was pregnant with my second child my body had to fight death. When I opened my business I had to overcome financial obstacles that tried to keep me from opening shop. But, with a vision for life, faith in God, and a strong work ethic, I have been able to overcome many obstacles. And, so can you!
As a pioneer I’ve had to figure out things on my own.
Guess what? You don’t have to.
I may have been the first but I will not be the last.

In my Corporate Career- I was the first among my colleagues to be promoted in record time.
As an Instructor- I am gifted in teaching to help you in your learning and development needs.
As a Business Owner- I crossed ethnic barriers to create a successful money making business in the 1st year of operation.
As a Visionary- I have started community changing nonprofits and helped others do the same.
